Tournament Recap: American Fishing Tour Division 72
The American Fishing Tour (AFT) Division 72 headed to Lake Sinclair on February 21, 2026, where 41 anglers faced off in a highly competitive event. Aaron E. Batson once again proved his skill on the water, securing a strong 4th place finish and claiming the ultimate bragging rights for the day: Tournament Big Bass.
Batson brought a five-fish limit to the scales totaling 15.73 pounds. The highlight of his bag—and the entire tournament—was a massive 6.67-pound kicker. This impressive bass took home the Big Bass honors for the event, out-weighing every other fish brought to the scale. For his 4th place finish, Aaron earned $180 in prize money and added 197 points to his season total.
This performance marks another consistent top-tier finish for Aaron, demonstrating his ability to find high-quality fish under tournament pressure. The Sinclair event saw a total of 154 fish caught, but Aaron’s 6.67-pounder stood out as the "giant" of the day.
The Breakdown for Aaron Batson:
- Place: 4th
